Bersaglieri

Post by Gingermick »

Am I right in thinking these troops would likely have the 3 section set up rather than the normal Italian 4? Also would people think they would have any other rules to reflect their black feather status or just keep to the normal Italian quality?
Also would they generally keep as a battalion or be parcelled out as companies to support regular troops?

This website suggests a company of 3 platoons each of 3 sections:

Looking at historical OoBs, the 'regular' Bersaglieri seem to have organised as motorised infantry for various armoured and motorised divisions (not unlike pz grenadiers?) "Autoportato" (with transport) or "Motociclisti" (on motorcycles).
My own Bersaglieri on the painting desk will be classed as Elite Imperial Old Guard.

The infantry OOB seems to have doubles the number of MMG in all unota compared to all other OOB I have read. Might want to look at that.
