Skirmish lines

Hi

Im enjoying the game but have a couple of queries about skirmishes:

Do skirmish lines have a shooting value? I.e can a skirmish line shoot at a distant target?

With distinct skirmish units, two combat values are given e,g 2/3. Is the first close combat and the second ranged?

1. Skirmish lines don't shoot.
2. The two values are for combat and shooting respectively. I think this second point could be clearer in the rules.

I'm sure Mark will correct me if I have this wrong!
