Well as you are going to be playing solo (for the next wee while) go ahead and mix 15mm armour with 1/72 inf - who cares if you don't!

PS Some 15mm are blobby but not Eureka Japanese or BF Japanese for that matter

Eureka are great but on the small side, as are command decision. Both have a nice variety too.

Battlefront are really nice, slightly larger, in great poses and a nice variety of charging and shooting. When I got them they were a bit pricey for a platoon compared to other battlefront of similar sizes. I think they are the only ones who have loaders for the light mortars which is nice.

Two cons with battlefront. They're in temperate uniforms which doesn't suit south Pacific if you're picky. Another issue is there aren't enough riflemen to fit out a full strength light mortar squad, but those might not be needed for a late war platoon.

That's my two cents.

IIRC (haven't played FoW for a few years) the only BF Japanese lists were for Manchuria so the uniform makea sense.

I'm painting 28mm Eureka Miniatures Japanese at the moment. Very nice indeed. Riflemen, LMG & MMG are available, also an officer and a couple of tank hunters. I'm told there will be more.

Have been asking Nic to put them on website since Nov 2019, reply was later, later then they are selling very well from the shop so I am going on with Warlord to finish my force.

I have been painting Eureka 28mm WW2 Japanese and they are lovely sculpts. They're not on the site yet but if anyone is interested please email me off forum and I can pass on details, or I'm sure an email to Eureka would work. I'm told there are more in the pipeline.
