Is the approach for supports like Field Guns quite different, or a hybrid of the AVF and Infantry calculations?

and another question, a rifleman with an smg in the teams as opposed to the leader? Should they be a +1 as well?

Re: Official CoCulator
Also, what about assault rifle equipped soldiers? 2pts each?
There is also the Aggressive rating and as has been pointed out above, 4 command dice and 6 command dice to take into account as it's not necessarily directly linked to training/experience grade.
BTW, Thanks for posting this. It'll make for all sorts of fun!

This is really interesting - thanks Rich.
I have always thought that the British platoon for 1940 seemed rather undervalued at -5 for regulars. If I apply your method I get 69 points or -3. Is that correct, or have I missed something (more than probable)

Coldsteel
Yes indeed. That puts them up one level automatically. So a +2 would become +3.

SMG and assault rifles is a good question. We count both as 2 points per man armed with them.
I must admit that I have never added anything for aggressive rating. It isn't something which always affects a game so I have tried to keep it simple. Indeed the simpler I keep it, the better the balance seems to work.
AT and infantry guns are worked out on their primary task rating (so AP for AT guns, HE for infantry guns) with an adjustment for their secondary rating (so HE for AT guns and AP for infantry guns). However, I don't have those figures with me at present as I am away from the office. I'll crunch them out tomorrow for you.
Cheers

Was this in answer to the value of one extra command dice?Richard wrote:Coldsteel

Re: Official CoCulator
so it looks like the points system comes up with slightly different ratings for some of the already published army lists, for example a regular 1944 Pz Grenadier unit ends up with 106 points or a "3" rating, whereas the list has a "1" rating. Is the intention to adjust the already published lists to reflect this calculation method?
thanks
