British warriors and foot cavalry

Post by runninghorse74 »

Hello All,

Using the British list Southern tribal warband I added 1 more group of tribal cavalry.
This allows me to have 2 warriors leader levell II and 2 tribal cavalry leader Levell II
Both have foot cavalry characteristic.

I deploy both the cavalry with warriors as foot cavalry
After a few turns the cavalry are spaced out slightly as they move at different rates.
The next turn I roll to move the cavalry again but want to drop the warriors off.
Can the warriors be placed in a mob?
Assume that all the cavalry had enough movement distance to get to this spot.
And then can the cavalry all retire to provide a rally point?
But Could I just move the cavalry away to become seperate?

Thanks 😊

Edited as I used 3 cavalry but level II could only command 2 cavalry.

They wouldn't be able to deploy as a mob.

If they deployed close enough to each other, a Leader could form them into a mob using CIs.

Thanks captain, that's what I thought but couldn't see it in the rule book.

I'd like to revisit this. To join a mob a group just has to make base contact with a Group already in the Mob.

So maybe if they deployed in base contact, they'd count as a Mob.

Hi captain, thanks for coming back on this one.
Looking at it myself it would depend in the movement of the cavalry, as each group uses a seperate CI to move, so one moves first and then the 2nd CI is used to move the 2nd group.
This could mean they do not get into base to base contact.
I think I may attempt to play this at some point and go with if the two foot groups can be place together then a mob can be formed.
