I'm playtesting the US Marines' assault on the Harpers Ferry engine house. This involves close combat with fixed bayonets. I see from the rules (page 39) that bayonets (like swords) hit on 3-6 when brawling'.
Swords also convert a "two shock" result to a Wound and a Wound to a Critical Wound.
Indian lances convert a "two shock" result to a Wound and give a +1 modifier when rolling for the effect of a Critical Wound.
What do you guys think about applying either the sword or Indian lance special rules to bayonets. Obviously I wouldn't include the lance's thrown weapon option.

Re: Bayonets
In terms of the effect the Native Lance option is the equivalent to using a Bowie Knife in a brawl. (P59) So you would be treating the bayonet effectively as a Bowie Knife with a better hit chance. Not sure it warrants that.

Re: Bayonets
Given that fixed bayonets are likely to be in use by trained troops (at least in my case) I'd have thought they would be comparable to Indian lances.
