Looks good. Critical point though - you can only cancel one Homunculus Est call per side during the battle.
I’m surprised the Germans in such a broken formation were able to break through the Roman legions which are lined up supporting each other especially with the Germans in single ranked units… normally they bounce off and are dead meat if they attack so piecemeal.

Thanks Mark, we were pretty rusty with the rules, so probably got a few other things wrong as well.
The Germans would have been better deployed with supporting warbands but because the Romans didn’t advance at all quite a few units got pushed back off the table causing disaster as well as setback cards.

Fair enough! No worries re: the rules. It’s only a game after all! Advancing for a turn or two is normally prudent and prevents a very dull game if people sitting back.
