Played my first solo game…and not sure about a couple of points.
My questions are:
1) does fervour effect mounted movement?
2) does mounted movement away from enemy effect fervour?
Under infantry movement
Section 5.1.2 says
A) infantry add 1” of movement for every point of fervour, when moving towards the enemy.
B) if a leader is activated and moves the Mob further away from the nearest formed enemy, all groups in the Mob will see their fervour reduced by 1 point.
Section 5.2 (on mounted movement) does not refer to fervour having any impact on mounted movement, or mounted movement having an impact on fervour.
Section 8.1 says:
A) groups add 1” to their movement for each point of fervour.
B) when a leader is activated and elects not to move a Mob towards the enemy, nor raise its Fervour, each stationary Group in the Mob will lose a point of fervour.
The QRS only has +1” movement per point of fervour under foot movement.
So my Gallic warlord moved a Mob of two mounted warriors peach with 4 fervour away from the enemy (aiming to circle round behind the Romans). Should they (1) have added 4 inches to their movement? And should they (2) have dropped a point of fervour?
Section 8.1 implies they should increase movement & not reduce fervour (as group was not stationary so does not lose 1 point of fervour). {But extra detail in section 5.1.2 implies that should lose fervour as moving away, though strictly 5.1.2 doesn’t apply as they aren’t infantry}. But movement section & QRS imply they don’t add distance to movement. Hence my confusion.

Re: Mounted warriors & fervour
Only Foot troops rated as Warriors may gain Fervour (p.40).
So the question doesn't arise for Mounted Warriors

Infamy has a lot of small but important rules and caveats that are easily overlooked.
