HE vs BUA

Post by nikjen66 »

In the shooting modifiers vehicles that move suffer a -2 dice per section in a platoon the same as other troops moving and firing.

When tanks fire they -1 for each damage or suppression they have suffered. Does this mean if one tank in a platoon is suppressed and a second tank damaged a -2 modifier is applied, or is it just -1 for any number of suppressed/damaged vehicle?

When tanks/guns fire HE at buildings a -1 dice modifier is applied. Is this for each section in a platoon or for the platoon as a whole?

Do all units firing HE on Table 2. HE get to re-roll one missed firing dice, and what’s the rational for this?

Just trying to get to the bottom of heart/tank platoon as they differ somewhat in firing to Infantry platoons sometimes firing as a platoon and sometimes modifying fire by section.

Cheers

N66,

H.E. Fire: If a platoon is carrying shock it applies -1 to regardless of various levels of shock on either AFV section. If you have a damaged as well, this applies a further -1.

AT Fire: Each tank section fires individually, thus apply whatever applies to that tank section. See Section 14, second para. p61.

When tanks/guns fire HE at buildings a -1 dice modifier is applied. Is this for each section in a platoon or for the platoon as a whole?

The platoon. See above.

Do all units firing HE on Table 2. HE get to re-roll one missed firing dice, and what’s the rational for this?

Rerolls only apply to those guns with a listed reroll, not every gun.
