What is close range for MG fire from AFV ie half track? Or 2 lb armed tank

Is it 6" or 1 0 "

I am happy that HE fire is 10" but if the AFV only had an MG to engage infantry/guns is the shorter rang appropriate?

Yep, if using a transport's MG or the co-ax on a tank then use the shorter infantry range bands.
