Rich was initially using “Infamy, Infamy!” as his working title then indicated that he was minded to change the title of the published work to an appropriate Latin phrase, “Disciplina et Virtus”, the values at the heart of the Roman way of war. However, the subsequent outcry from fans plus the fact that by then the Infamy cards were an integral part of the game changed his mind.
(The fact that “D&V” has an unfortunate other meaning for those with any medical connection might have helped.)

So Rich was once again responding to his customers demands and we only have ourselves, Frank Muir (the original creator of the joke) and Kenneth Williams to blame.

Infamy Infamy is far more memorable to a modern person than the “Disciplina et Virtus” title.

I just thought that recalling Mr.Williams was very laudable. I am sure when Richard plays Colonials some of his regulars are from the 3rd Foot and Mouth.
