A Bridge Too Lard

Post by John.Emmett »

Hi All,

Lard America will be hosting a one-off event for the 75th anniversary of Operation Market Garden at Huzzah Hobbies in Ashburn Virginia on Saturday, September 21st. Tentative plans are for a typical one day event consisting of a morning and afternoon gaming session followed by a group dinner. I know it's 3 months plus away, but I'm a chronic over planner so a few quick items:

1. The store opens at 1000 on Saturday so kickoff would be around 1100.
2. Prospective GMs have asked if it is strictly a WWII event. No, any and all Lard is welcome. However if running CoC or IABSM it would be appreciated if you could have a Market Garden themed game - again, not necessary. [sidebar - I'll be running stuff on and around Arnhem Bridge but can support another 28mm CoC game with US Airborne and/or British regulars if someone wants to GM that]
3. I have a Google Form here to get the ball rolling for logistics and to reduce email traffic. If you're attending, please fill out at your convenience:

Thanks for supporting this event, and watch this space for updates.

Cheers!
John

I will put it on my calendar. Good excuse to check out the shop.
