L'Ardennes 2020 - Baltimore

Post by berkebilep » Mon Nov 25, 2019 5:23 pm

Good evening everyone

It is time to lay out the game plan for L’Ardennes 2020.

We are confirmed for an all-day Lard Games Day at the Games and Stuff in Glenn Burnie Maryland on January 4, 2020. You can visit their web page at http://gamesandstuffonline.com/. Games and Stuff is located at 7385 Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard, Glen Burnie, MD 21061. Phone (410) 863-7418. The store is very close to BWI Airport and is easily accessible via Routes 97 and 695.

Games will be held at 1100 and 1500. The store opens at 1000 and closes at 2200. You are welcome to stay and play later games if you wish. There are many nearby restaurants but they do require a car. For lunch Burger King, Dunkin Donuts, and McDonalds are in walking distance. We may do a barbecue order for those wanting to eat at the store (Mission BBQ is about ½ a mile away). There is plenty of table space for eating lunch. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed. For dinner I will sort out a local restaurant that is reasonably close and is suitably Baltimorean (more info to follow).

If you wish to run a game please email me directly the following information:
  • Desired Time Slot
    Rules
    Name of the Game
    Brief Description
    Number of Players
    Table Size
Any other requirements you may need, e.g., terrain etc
Please submit by 12/8/2019.

Below is an example (I will be running the same game twice)
  • Desired Time Slot - 1100 and 1500 (two games)
    Rules – Chain of Command
Name of the Game – Alamo of the Ardennes
Brief Description – Captain Harry Patch has pulled together a ragtag blocking force of bumbling rear area troops (cooks, typists, HQ Staff, etc) at Stavelot to hold the crossing at the Ambleve River. After a day of fierce fighting, your armor support bugged out last night. No reinforcements have arrived. You can hear the sound of approaching armor and SS Panzer Grenadiers preparing another assault to take the bridge.
    Number of Players – 4
    Table Size – 6 x 4
I will post updates as the list of games is established. I will create a player signup form similar to what John Emmett developed for A Bridget Too Lard once we have a good selection of games.

Cheers and I look forward to hearing from you. pb
