Yeah I thought Fury was awful as well. :geek:

For the sake of balance: I really wanted to like this movie, but it's just terrible. Trite story full of holes and cliched scenes, uninteresting characters, poor casting, and the battle scenes aren't even that good. The central premise of the film is that soldiers can only become effective when they've built up enough "fury" and hatred for the enemy, which is bollocks IMO. Don't bother watching the whole movie for the tank bits, just watch those scenes on Youtube. So yeah, when it comes to "Fury", YMMV.
Cross of Iron has some T-34's in. But it not Tank on Tank action.

If you want T-34s that Polish show "Four tank men and a dog" mentioned above is the way to go. It's pretty oldskool (I think about "Hogan's Heroes" vintage) but centres around a T-34 crew.

I made a list of all the movies mentioned on IMDB.

It may not be exactly what you had in mind, but Sam Fuller's The Big Red One includes a memorable scene of a woman giving birth in the turret of a Sherman: surely unique in cinematic - and AFV - history.

I'm with Seret on 'Fury'...

Awful movie. A mess of cliches straight from the 1950s.

Many of the actors in this one were veterans of the battle itself.

I saw a "Tanker" movie on YouTube..Russian made with English subtitle...to me the best...anyways it had a KV-1 commander and team of T-34's fighting a bunch of German Panzer IVs. Sorry...cannot remember the name...it was about 90 minutes long and very entertaining.

Two recent Russians films

"T-34" and "Tankers". Both are more Hollywood than history, with imho T-34 being the better of the two.

Just re-read the original film list on page 1 and thought "Hmmm - 'Sahara'? No actual tank-on-tank action that I can recall...."

(Certainly not in the Lumpy Bogey version.)

Just watched "Tanker" which I thought was very good,KV1 plus T34s and even more than lip service to how much the Russian Tank forces had to canabalise part from unusable vehicles,at one point discussing how to butcher an autoclave for parts.
Some very nice action shots as well.
Believe it's based on actual events in 42 ?
