I think they'd be fine about any risk of explosion (they are in a tank) but I suspect they'd be more concerned about being a bloody obvious target and all the smoke making observation and gunnery a bit challenging.

OK update after latest game 6 players inc 4 newbies.

Definately +1 on dice to hit if last shot hit

No -1 to aquire low profile target in the open must have some cover even linear obsticle between firer and LP target.

Not sure about extra strike dice for close range hit suspect it really only comes into play for small calibre weapons vs big tanks.

For you fellows who do WAT 15mm on the big tables, do you measure inches or centimeters during play? Have you found one to be better than the other?

When we did it in 15mm we kept it at inches it seemed to work OK and looked good.

Most of the local players have 28mm tanks (ex BA or CoC stuff) so thats the scale we play but I think it looks better in 15mm.

Our last four games have been in 15mm, we used inches with no problems at all.
We've played on 6x4 and 6x6 table.

We use 15mm as I have masses of models from my FOW days.

Our games were 1940 Italian v British; 1941; British v Afrika Corp; 1943 Russians v Germans; 1944 Germans v BrItish.
