Base sizes

Post by m1kel » Wed Nov 13, 2013 6:42 pm

Hi,
Just starting to build two 15mm armies. What size bases do people use and how many figures on each?

Greetings

There's a lot of variation. My newer ones are on 3cm x 3cm square plastic bases with the points clipped off with (for 8 man sections) 2 x 3 figure and 1 x 2 figure stands.

Regards

Edward

Same for me. Also the odd individual figure on 20mm disc. Many people use FoW style basing i.e. 4 or 5 figs on 50x30 base

I use half individually based figures, half on foW 50*30mm base. Small weapon teams on either FoW small bases or circular 30mm bases.

I just base mine as per FoW in case I relapse (My army started out as an FoW collection)

My armies started out as Peter Pig PBI forces, so they are on 30x30mm bases, mostly in 2's or 3's.

I'm getting the feeling it's not that critical and should be able to play with different basing on opposite sides.
Thanks all.

As long as they're not hugely different there should be no issue at all
