Blinds and Woods

Post by NickO » Mon Nov 11, 2013 11:08 pm

The rules prevent vehicles from entering woods but what if they're on a blind? There seems to be no rule to prevent a blind representing vehicles and we could see arguments to allow it ('period not the rules') but what happens if the vehicles have to deploy from the blind in a wood?

Thanks for any help

We either work by a gentleman's agreement not to do that, or, if we have an umpire, they determine what is reasonable.

Mind you, there are woods and woods. A well coppiced wood of smaller trees is going to conceal as well as an old growth forest, but the former is not going to stop tanks, whereas the latter will.

Vehicles can't go into woods.
Vehicles can be on blinds.
So a blind representing a vehicles cannot go into woods.
It's simple enough.

You might want to consider exceptions for specific scenarios. It surprised the Germans to see vehicles moving through the Reichswald. Kinda surprised the troops they were supporting also.
