IABSM Resources

Post by Truscott Trotter »

As a proud new owner of IABSM I was wondering as I have my first read through are there online resources available as in COC?
I am aware of the specials and the scenario books / army lists for sale but I was thinking more of the QRS, Index, FAQ, errata, counters, cards blinds etc?
TIA
TT

PS I am no longer on the Yahoo groups site

Hi,

http://www.vislardica.com/iabsm-game-aids/ has some, I think. But the dl section of yahoo group is the best source, I am afraid.

The ARTSCOW discussion has a link, provided by John Bond, for some cards.

I've also DL'd the blinds and etc. from the Yahoo Group. There are also some QRS type files.

EDIT: Just saw the part about not being on the Yahoo Group...

Here are the blinds I've saved off: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B330F ... WZaaHdJaU0

Cards I mentioned: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B330F ... WM2b3lic3M

I'm not a fan of the official play sheet - it has too many missing special case rules that are actually pretty common (like the 'HE always pins, treat enemy as one level of cover worse if you roll more 6's than 1's' for example).

I'm about to switch to http://perrysheroes.free.fr/IMG/pdf/IAB ... 5mm_v1.pdf for my games.

As far as i know TMP is the Internet Hub of historicals where you can find documents and materials. It has links to current auctions on e-bay, news from pretty much all rules and miniature makers and several discussion boards for every period IABSM Resources. Many rules writers, sculpters and store owners post there. It is also a perfect symbol for the 13 year lag in webdesign that the historical hobby is plagued with. It is ugly and the discussion pages are very often down for maintenance.
