Chain of Command Video AAR Mons 1918
New video and something a little different: Chain of Command Mons 1918, Canadians attack German positions in November just before the armistice.

If anyone reading this hasn't yet watched it - you should as it is well worth the effort.

Thanks chaps, glad you enjoyed the video. If I can ask, what about it made it so enjoyable? Be as frank as you like.

1) Unusual subject matter - always sells CoC and SP2 for me.
2) Perfect way to learn how to play a game is to be talked through it.
3) Excellent table layout.
4) Clear diction (I used to give media training to clients).

Re: Chain of Command Video AAR Mons 1918
I watched this yesterday and enjoyed it.
From a display perspective it was great - showing the dice rolled, talking through the options etc.
I liked the fact that you were explaining the weapon systems (though the pedant in me winced when the Lewis was referred to several times as a medium machine gun ). I need to read up on 1917-18 rifle grenadiers before I paint my 1917-18 figures (another project …).
I felt both sides were a little eager to leave cover - though obviously the Canadians would need to do so for the assault. Also in an urban environment the troop density looked light (just a facet of CoC forces and table size I think).

Are you sure I wasn't referring to the German maxim, I'm fully aware of a Lewis being a LMG (I've written several essays about it...)? Anyway, if i did, it was nothing more than a mistake made whilst trying to do several things at once.
I always think soldiers sitting in cover doesn't make for a particularly interesting game...
Otherwise, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Yes, of course, the German "light" machine gun was the MG08 with a stock attached (good luck firing THAT from the hip!).
