Well, we talked about it and now we're going to do it. We all know that you can use an old sock or a mouldy turnip as a Deployment Point, but where's the fun in that? A nice vignette can serve to set the scene for a game; an opportunity for pathos, wit, comedy or tragedy. To encourage high quality Deployment Points we are launching a competition which will, we hope, set the benchmark.
Send us photos of two Deployment Points for your Army of choice and you could win £100 worth of Lard. Indeed, don't take my word for it, but read all about it here: the clarion call that is Lard Island News.

Lots of time to get cracking. We look forward to receiving your entries.

A wizard wheeze!

Wizzard indeed. One submission so far, so lots of opportunity to win. At present if you submitted a picture of a dog turd you'd come second.
That isn't a suggestion.

How long does this competition run?
EDIT: Never mind, I saw it. Hmmm, can I finish something cool by end of June...

Is that a challenge? Would a white one (which you never see anymore) come first due to rarity?Richard wrote:Wizzard indeed. One submission so far, so lots of opportunity to win. At present if you submitted a picture of a dog turd you'd come second.

Well, I'm not sure my efforts will make the competition, but this is certainly inspiring!
Well, it was inspiring until I hit modellers block with my Prussian scout base. Three Volunteer Jaegers scouting ahead next to... What? What can I put next to them?

A signpost pointing to Waterloo in one direction and Ligny in the other?
