Under the Contra-Guerilla Forces in Spain roster, there is a mention of a French troops occupying a block house(s) in Spain. One force is named, "Blockhouse Garrison". I did a Google search and found nothing. I'm looking at scratch building one.
Does anyone have any info on the block houses used in Spain during the Peninsular war?

My understanding is that these were small forts that the French used along their lines of communication, and my sense is they are similar to some of the North American blockhouses of the colonial period (wooden with an earth glacis). Here is an image that may be helpful:
