I would add that I use this 3-2-1 system rather than singles on sabots partially because I use 20mm figures, which, when mounted on both base and sabot, tend to look like they are standing on a raised stage.

Yes, not a fan of the raised stage look but I do find sabots very handy. I use my Dremel to chamfer the edges to give a more natural look, it’s amazing how that small difference helps the sabot to blend into the terrain.
