ITLSU for Europe 1914

Post by Gazzy »

I'm restarting a 10mm WW1 project I abandoned a couple of years ago and am looking at suitible rules. The theatre I'm covering is the Western Front 1914 and a few people have recommended ITLSU with modifications. Before I jump in, do you chaps think this plausible and, if so, do you have any suggestions? Any help would be much appreciated!

After some digging about I have found that 'Summer Special 2011' contains a mod called 'Storm of Dice' which is billed as, 'Rules for using If the Lord Spares Us on the Western Front'. Has anybody tried them? If so, are they suitable for 1914, or are they aimed at later trench warfare?

I have not tried "Storm of Dice", in fact I currently do not game WW1. I do have the Summer Special 2011 and the intro to "SoD' indicates that it covers 1915 to 1918 and trench warfare.

Thanks - that's saved me a fiver! I've just bought ITLSU and it seems that modding it for 1914 Europe shouldn't be too onerous. Apparently there is some relevant stuff on the TFL Yahoo! group, so I have just applied to join.

Does anyone know how to access the old Yahoo! group information referred to above?

(Similar request on the other 1914 thread.)

They were all moved to the groups.io group, toofatlardies@groups.io.

If you can't get in there, I should have a copy stashed away. DM you email address and I can send any specific files you are interested in.

Cheers,
Jim
