Newbie questions

Post by Darren »

I have two questions.

Ground scale of 6mm models. Based playing IABSM, I intend to use inches for table movement and ranges. Has anyone had any experience with 6mm measurements?

C-in-C command pips. Do I roll command pip dice at the beginning of the game; or, every turn? I think rolling each turn would introduce another level of un-certainty which I think enhances the game.

Hi Darren,
We play in 10mm and just use the normal measurements without a problem. I can't see any real benefit to using the smaller measurements unless you want to also use a smaller table.

You roll for the C-in-C command pips each turn which, as you say, brings more friction into the game.

Thanks John.

I'm planning to use a 6x4 table with the view of having space to manuvauer troops. I'm hoping this will make flanks vulnerable and make player pay attention to flank security.
