Battleship Barrage Markers
I am working on a scenario were a pre-dreadnought with two turrets of 12” guns is providing fire support. I was planning on each turret being its own barrage marker. But two barrages seem to few. Any thoughts on how powerful these markers should be?
Re: Battleship Barrage Markers
I now see that the HMS drew too much water to use her guns at Fao. To bad for the British.
Re: Battleship Barrage Markers
Hi Jony,
Assuming we are talking about a King Edward VII class pre-Dreadnought she would have a range of 15,000 yards so could happily provide fire support from the Persian Gulf to forces quite a way inland from Fao. A Lord Nelson has a considerably longer range.
I would suggest you consider each gun the equivalent of a barrage but they have to be used in pairs. (Note I will be using ITLSU off table artillery for the first time in a game tomorrow night.)
Regards,
Paul

Re: Battleship Barrage Markers
I found using two templates more than enought. Unfortunately one landed on the British. One per gun may be more representative.
