How dense should my terrain be?

Post by RichardD » Wed Nov 13, 2019 2:30 pm

Hi all,

I played a solo game today. It played really well but I wasn't sure about my terrain. I think I may have gone too dense with trees and hedges etc and then struggled to move formations. How dense or sparse should my table be?

I dunno about "should," but here are a couple of our Dux Brit tables from recent games:

Thanks! Those are nice tables. I think I may try fewer larger clumps of trees, I was quite spread out for this game

A couple more:

In this one, the wooded hill on the left and the copse just to the right of it played a huge role in the outcome of the battle.

This one was a raid on a wagon train, so the center "road" section of the board was clear. In this one the fence in the gap between the hut and the barn enclosing the cowpen was where the decisive action came.
