Ive got saxons and Romano British forces in 28mm but I’m considering creating forces in 15mm.
Apart from the Splintered Light miniatures would anyone care to offer a suggestion for a nice range in 15mm?

The soon to be released to the public 'Forged in Battle 3' figures are really nice. :)

I have load of OldGlory15's which are a little later - really Anglo-Saxon/Norman/Viking period but they are not bad figures especially for the pice if you are doing 'multiple figure bases.

The Khurasan Germans are nice. I have thought about getting some of the infantry to act as a mercenary force. My favorite are Splintered Light.

I have Picts from the now Defunct SGT Major miniatures and some from QRF/LKM. I have thought about getting some Old Glory but have held off.

I also have some Outpost Wargame Services Saxons. They added some variety but they are not my favorite miniatures.

Splintered Light miniatures makes Dux Brit army packs in 15mm. They have some great looking miniatures and David McBride is a great guy to do business with. I've been buying stuff from him for years. Little Big Men Studio also makes shield transfers for the Splintered Light Romano-British and Saxon shields. ... iniatures/

I'm a fan of the Splintered Light miniatures; they are very nice. I have also used the Little Big Men Studio shield transfers and they are pretty awesome as well.

I have started painting my old glory (and other manufacturers) 15mm's and for this and other games. I'm going big with the smaller scale. So 40 x 40 or 40 x 30mm basing per 'figure'. That means there will be 6 to 8 of the 15mm figures per base and thus per 28mm base. I think this will look like a real war band in the end but I have loads to go yet. I was thinking of using smaller bases but in the end I'll likely do this. I want these for various rules so keeping them pretty generic at this point.

Not sure if I'll need to modify the distance rules or not with the 40mm wide figs though...

Here you can see 120 figs or so done already that's 15 'base/figure equivalents':

You can see more on my blog as I move along with the project:

Thanks, one of my issues with Dux B is the 'sparse' look of figures in games in 28mm. I know people like the 28mm models (as I do as well - I have a good collection of them), but games can often be far too close to a few small groups of 6 men 'not talking a flag for a walk' for my visual liking. ;)

I'm not sure how many men would really be in war bands of this time frame but I like to think it would be a few hundred for a war leader.
