I'm not fond of football, but it seems funny !

It might be an interesting thing for youngers, in order to convert them to figurines instead of video games...

I'm wondering if this wasn't very subtle clickbait. These are the only two posts by the OP.

'Striker!': Easy rules to play incredibly realistic tabletop soccer/football matches in miniature

by Tony Moffitt (Author)

My own view is that football is rather too fast paced, with too few interruptions to lend itself to tabletop play.
At least tabletop play with dice and tape measures.

I'm always ready to be proved wrong, and haven't played the above game, so can't comment on its quality.

'Subbuteo' was a pretty good dice-free tabletop miniature simulation of association football (aka 'soccer' to the unwashed).
It involved flicking little plastic players on hemispherical bases to move a little plastic ball around a felt field.
The goals were guarded by little keepers mounted on sticks.
Although Subbuteo is no longer made by the original manufacturer (Habco), apparently basic starter kits and various accessories are still available through online avenues.
Walk softly and carry a big fish.
