Shot, Steel & Stone

Post by Counterpane » Thu Feb 14, 2019 4:28 pm

Anybody tried this set of rules, included in Henry Hyde's The Wargaming Compendium?

I had a solo try of them yesterday and thought they'd make a perfectly decent alternative to Black Powder. There seems to be a shortage of online fan activity or author support though.

Henry has a Facebook group for discussion here:

It is admittedly dormant, but that's primarily due to Henry working on his Wargaming Campaigns book.

I like the system and have used it for some Imaginations Napoleonic gaming.

I'm still waiting for the book to come out. Recently everything has become too depressive. In fact, this is not because of the book, but because of a poorly healing injury. But I use Сbd topicals to reduce pain. Being constantly at home is a bit annoying, but at least pain relief helps me sleep well.
