29, Let's Go! campaign (updated 26 07 20)
So off we go on another pint sized campaign. This time a first outing for my American platoon, although I'll actually be playing the Germans in the campaign (not quite sure how that happened, but I think it was my turn to be the defender). No problem as both the platoons are my minis, so I won't be too upset, in fact I'm just looking forward to seeing how the Americans look on the table. So this first link isn't an AAR it just a summary of the various extra pieces, be it AFVs or terrain that I've put together to make sure we have all we need for the campaign. You can see it all here http://thetacticalpainter.blogspot.com/ ... ts-go.html

Really looking forward to this - next best thing to actually having all that stuff on my own table!
No plan survives first contact with the dice.

Yep.. what the Baron said. The AAR are the next best thing to playing. And some fantastic ideas there. I credit MLB with improving the look of so many games.

Thanks for all the generous comments, I hope you all enjoy this one.
Okay, well off we go with the first scenario Probe at La Cambe. Great to finally have my Americans on the table, even if they will be my opponents. The full AAR is here https://thetacticalpainter.blogspot.com ... cambe.html

Oh yes! I've been looking forward to this
Excellent AAR and I can see that your terrain has further improved, the chateau with its very appropriate wall for example - really nice!
Those Shermans are deadly, well played by both sides I think.

Bad dice are something you can't predict (well, I can), but near-perfect tactics by the enemy really do leave you with no other option but to pull out.
Let's hope your superiors are understanding and don't shoot you!

Another great report! Dave definitely played a blinder and there was little you could do, Baron's dice or not.
Please tell me the two of you have decided to self-isolate together so you can get on with the campaign? No rugby, no F1, I can cope with. No Tactical Painter AARs may be more than this pooch can take.
