Oh, and good luck finding someone who wants to be the next Obgfr of 3 Gruppe in your platoon!
Yep, no one queuing up for promotion in that squad!

The Germans cannot call on any armour in this first scenario. The division is mostly equipped with PzI and PzII and were very wary of their vulnerability to French AT fire, hence the decision to ask the infantry to clear a path through the French defence. But you are right in the sense the Germans need to find a way to blast the French out of their position as TT alludes to in his posts.

Back to Perbais. I'm sick of the sight of the place and even more sick of the French defenders. I have an eviction order but they don't seem interested in taking any notice. Maybe this time? Full AAR is here http://thetacticalpainter.blogspot.com/ ... at_12.html

A picture from the game (in case you have forgotten what Perbais looks like - I haven't):

Excellent report as always, very enjoyable. That was a very rough run of phases for you though, better luck next time. Or should I say: 'Hals und Beinbruch!'

I think your plan to lull your opponent into a false sense of security is working.

(That was your plan, wasn't it.....?)

Yes, I can’t wait to see his face when we unleash the new V weapons the Fuhrer has been promising, that’ll show them.....oh, hang on a minute, we’re four years too early for that. Damn.

Following your trials and tribulations in the campaign is really engrossing. It's interesting to compare yours with other reports of the same scenarios. Thanks for sharing, and better luck with your next game.

I don't get to play a often as I would like, so other people's reports are a lifeline. Very enjoyable.
