Playing with bocage

Post by unhingedtangent »

Evening everyone,

I have wanted to make some bocage for our Normandy games and never really knew how to approach it. A bit of looking around (especially at the great bocage references over at http://dereksweetoys.com/) gave me the inspiration and start I needed.

Anyway the end result seems to have turned out pretty well. I think it covers most bocage bases (except maybe not being tall enough). A 15mm miniature comes up to about half way on the average height of the piece.

You can see more picture and a how to over here (the second link is a bit picture heavy, but the pics are small in filesize):

Looking for any feedback or ways to improve them.

Thanks,
Matt

Wow, I did a bunch of bocage 3-4 months ago, but yours look great. Very nice job.

That's really good. Where did you live again? And can you leave it out so I don't have to make the place untidy whilst I find it!

Thanks for the feedback, glad I ticked most of the bocage boxes then.
The bocage example pages really were key. Being able to see various methods and results and then picking and choosing was spot on.

As for leaving them out, well if anyone was keen enough to fly on over, I might even be tempted to make another batch up for them (or at the very least organise to play a game)!
