Re: Hendrik's 15th century burgundians
so over the past weeks i've been updating the TFL 2013 summer special war of the roses Sharp PRactice rules to SP V2. Mainly by combining and updating stuff I've found online. As my group is completely new to Sharp Practice I decided to have a go at making my own chips, specially designed for the war of the roses/ the burgundian-swiss wars.
Below the unpainted result!

All in all I'm very pleased, even though the swiss confedaracy cross is a bit plain...
Not sure it they aren't too big though!

Re: Hendrik's 15th century burgundians
so today I had my first go at sculpting a complete model, a mule to act as a carriage cart in sharp practice.
I'm not very goot at sculpting, but i'm still amazed by how good it looks at least in my own opinion
Anyway, I can only hope this motivates others to try their hand at some sculpting themselves!
Here's how The mule came to be

And at this stage I started sculpting the lugage, but forgot to snap pictures.
Here's what he now looks like after a coat of paint

I have to say for a first attempt that is rather impressive! I've never sculpted anything beyond sandbags out of DAS which really doesn't count!
Nice seeing your progress and creativity, well done and keep it up.

Re: Hendrik's 15th century burgundians
Before this all i did was simple stuff like some beards on my space wolves back in the day,but lately i got the urge to do it proper so i've been using this war of the roses force as a test. It started with some simple breastplates and clothing, but this was the first full sculpt ever. I can only recommend it to people!
The baking of the superfine milliput(greenstuff worked too, though it seemed to shrinl a bit) was really usefull,as the model could afterwards be carved. If you can do sandbags you should be able to do the rest too!

Lovely civilians! Nice miniatures and well painted too.
Who produces those models? For my dungeon project I am always looking for civilian types and these look like they would fit right in...
Ps. Als medelander, wat voor games speel je allemaal?

the models are from perry miniatures, a mix of their azincourt models (representing the poorest of the poorest since they are wearing old fashioned clothing) as well as their war of the roses range.

I plan to use these for the updated version of sharp practice, war of the roses. aside from that we occasionally play lion rampant using the same models, and off course Chain of command.
