JH,

The rules are currently in the editing stage - so it'll be a close run thing!

Truscott - good point. Could easily be cancelled .

How about Hammerhead on Saturday, have you heard if it's still on?

No problems Dave, better to get it right than rush it. I will buy it whenever it is ready.

Is Salute on?
This was posted on the South London Warlords page a week ago

"A few people have been asking about Salute 2020 in the face of the Coronavirus situation.

To be clear, we are continuing with Salute as planned.

The only way Salute will not go ahead is if Excel, the venue, stop it as result of government advice on such events. From what we can see from official advice at this time, this looks most unlikely.

Excel have not cancelled any shows and have no intention of doing so. They have instigated additional deep cleaning and similar measures as many public places have.

We will of course keep a close eye on the situation.

Thanks

I would have thought that using IABSM or CoC would have put a known favourite.
If a battalion is represented by companies of 10 figures plus an HQ company with a Colonel. Then all units on the table and a battalion command structure would work well

I have been playing CoC for awhile now (and loving it); and, I want to “zoom out” a little to play larger engagements. I have been looking at IABSM vs O Group; but, I’m not certain whether I should go with the former (which seems to bear a lot of resemblance to CoC), or wait for the latter to come out. I will likely be playing these solo, at least for the near future, and I am wondering about how the blinds in IABSM can be done solo. Also, I like how Dave is handling the command and control aspects in OG - do you keep your leaders at HQ or send them out into the field?

I would love to hear other people’s thoughts on the matter. Would IABSM be a pretty seamless transition given my familiarity with the CoC rules?

IABSM is Compa y level Vs CoC which is platoon level.

They play quite differently IMHO.

Have not tried it but some people have said IABSM works OK solo cos its card driven.

Not sure how they would handle the blinds as I don't know if you can do them randomly.?
Ie roll for whats under there after they have been spotted giving some a chance to be dummies?
