Re: Waffen SS 1944/45 Platoon Organisation

I may be wrong, but my recollection is that most if not all, German SS units were Panzergrenadier units and so would be organized differently than leg infantry. As I recall the only grenadier (infantry) units were the foreign SS units (who also had cavalry and mountain troops). Might not make a diff...

Re: Miniatures for the Belgians?

John,

Try Retrokits -- https://www.wespemodels.com/belgian_t13_wes_r049 -- they are nice resin models but can be hard to get. I have their 10,5 cm leFH18(Sf) auf Geschützwagen 39H(f) for the von Luck psc and it is very nice.

Re: Early War Handbook Queries

Thanks, Contrarius. I didn't mean to imply there wouldn't be A-C models still in use, only that there ought to be D-F models included in the lists/arsenal since they probably formed the bulk of the Panzer IIIs in the campaign. From what I recall, the A-C were test models (I think there were fewer th...

Re: Early War Handbook Queries

I have a question about the Panzer III in the 1940 Handbook's lists and arsenal table. I had thought, probably influenced at least in part by the pre-Handbook German 1940 list, that the Panzer III Ausführungen used in France were mostly E with some D, all with the 3.7 cm gun. So, per Rich's advice i...

Re: Problem with Shop Basket Returns?

Don and John,

Thanks, for the confirmation! I was hoping that would be the case... as I recall I received the PDF version of GdA when I pre-ordered the hard copy.

Re: Problem with Shop Basket Returns?

Does anyone know if there will be a PDF version of the new handbook? I just pre-ordered the hard copy. I was looking for but didn’t see a bundle with both (it is nice to be able to start reading through on the day of the release rather than waiting for the hard copy to make its way across the pond).

Re: 1809 and 1811-1814 Black Brunswickers

Just a quick question. In the 1809 list the rifle-armed skirmishers are limited to one group; so why give them “formation: always?”

Re: 20mm and the US

I would recommend Eureka USA -- they carry the 20mm AB range which to my mind is the gold standard for 20mm miniatures

For Armourfast, I have had good service from the Hobby Bunker (https://www.hobbybunker.com/products/armourfast-97/mfg).

Thanks for the responses... I was leaning that way as well.
