Solo re-fight of Mockern 16 Oct 1813 - 1st Hour includes OOB

Having just done a play-by-email game of Mockern with a set of rules where one infantry unit = 1200 to 3000 troops, I then used the table set up for a General d'Armee solo game. Because of the scale the GdA game is at half scale (i.e., a division becomes a brigade). The battle is from 1400-1800. Her...

Re: Battle of Osma

My comments... 1) If it's RHA it's horse artillery whether or not brigaded with infantry. It's not uncommon to see horse artillery attached to infantry formations. 2) The ADC attachment to the brigade and not specifically the unit. Further on page 32 for the Skirmishers! tasking it states that "All ...

Re: Re-Fight of the Battle of Bailen

So I used the Saxon chevaulegers with French lancer heads. Are you on the GdeA Facebook group? I would put a picture up there, but I cant get into my photobucket folder. Is it the FB General d’Armee group that says its based in Bologna? I abandoned photobucket when they changed their business model...

Re: Re-Fight of the Battle of Bailen

Thanks. I did theJoseph chevaulegers without lance based on the Luis Sorando articles. There is also a book that he did on Joseph’s army that I have coming in the mail. Lovely painting by the way. If you want more command figures, the 1806 Prussian set has some likely types. I also use the 1806 Pru...

Re: Re-Fight of the Battle of Bailen

John, Your comment caused me to look at the Flickr albums which I haven't updated recently. I've added a couple more Spanish photos and two more albums - one of French troops I painted up for Bailen (e.g., Garde de Paris) and one of Joseph-Napoleon's army which is in preparation for Talavera and, wi...
