Re: Armor values

To be honest, a lot of IABSM (particularly v2) is perfectly compatible with TW&T. I steal scenarios, new cards, vehicle stats, new rules and everything else under the sun for TW&T games. For example, I've been considering running a First Indochina War game using Nowfel Leulliot and Danny O'Hara's ex...

Re: Shooting and Squad Cohesion

I should also note that I am not personally selling these or making any profit from them. I made them purely to support the game! As they are 2.5" x 3.5" cards, they will fit nicely into Fantasy Flight Games "Standard Card Game Sleeves" and all three decks (with sleeves) can be tucked into two stand...

Re: Shooting and Squad Cohesion

Well then, I decided to kick it into high gear this morning and wrap up these cards. Here are the Artscow links: TW&T Deck 1 (Unit Cards) : This is the first required deck and supports up to a reinforced platoon. It contains 4 squads, 2 support, 2 tanks, 2 anti-tanks and 5 big men (with Tactical Ini...

Re: Shooting and Squad Cohesion

John, I am just about to release a deck of TW&T card images on the Yahoo group, ready and set up for ArtsCow printing. I got my test batch run and they are absolutely gorgeous. Would you be interested in that?

Re: Shooting and Squad Cohesion

John, what do you mean "replaced"? The Lardies still sell and support TW&T, so I really cannot fathom what you mean there. I own and have tried CoC, but it's just not my cup of tea I'm afraid... the rules are too competitive and gamey for me (what with the list building and what not—very little supp...

Re: No Stg44's for Germans in rulebook.

Why do you need an option for them? Why not just take them, if it matches the historical scenario you are refighting?

Re: Using v2 Big Men in v3

I am sure I am going to leave something out, but essentially an Lieutenant could activate two units on his card and a Captain could activate a platoon or more (an NCO Big Man could only activate one unit). This was assuming the units had not come under fire yet. Once the shooting started, however, a...

Using v2 Big Men in v3

On some reflection, I've decided that I prefer the v2 rules for Big Men. For those that don't know, IABSM v3 sort of flattened "rank" and "quality" into one number, where as these were different things in v2. While this might not seem like a big deal, it was actualky the first thing that sold me on ...

Re: Shooting and Squad Cohesion

Well, since all of nobody bothered to answer these questions (after nearly 600 views), I guess I will share the answers that I settled on: 1) There is no cohesion distance (I inferred this from re-reading IABSM v2, which was the grand-pappy of TW&T, and also section 3.2.10). The 18" command radius, ...
