Re: Homemade Cheat Sheet
Happy to do it - I hope it doesn't violate any forum rules.

Homemade Cheat Sheet
Gentlemen, GdA is a very comprehensive rule set with many terms and special rules. To help our club speed game play I have created a 1-page Cheat Sheet emphasizing definitions and concepts to supplement the 4 page Play Sheet that comes with the game. To help players use these rules I am attaching th...

Re: Games long duration.
Not sure if it came out in previous discussion, but these rules are comprehensive so you need a decent 1-2 page Cheat Sheet that briefly defines key terms & concepts like Retreat/Retire/Rout or who is allowed to evade. You can't attach documents here but I may post my own cheat sheet here as a text ...

Re: Seperate charges
John,
That helps enormously as the "Closing to Melee" option was something we missed.
So only a lead unit may be used to resolve the Charge result (with supports of course) - but then the supports can close to melee if they can and don't have to wait for the second round.
Many, many thanks.

Seperate charges
This is a very key question for attackers. Multiple unit charges against a single enemy unit are discussed on page 46, so they can happen. However, Charge restrictions prohibit a Massed Attack Column formation from charging a single enemy (even though the Attacker suffers a penalizing modifier from ...

Brigadiers in Charges
The excellent new "FAQ" video is opening up rules our club haven't exploited much yet. Attaching a brigadier to a charging unit seems tempting to upgrade the charger's unit status. Now, I'm aware Brigadiers can be killed in the Melee Phase but is there any way he can be hurt during the Charge resolu...

Re: General d'Armee Video
Thanks to David, Rich and crew for a very informative video which allows shows the depth of the rules and what players need to think about. I also learned that columns always fire on the Inferior Volley line, something that is in the book but isn't clear on the Game Cheat Sheet tables. Nice to see a...

Re: Videos, perhaps
Vlad, I agree. We need to be sure we are playing the rules correctly. If so I suspect the answer is we need to soften up the target first which makes perfect sense ;) Mike, Another hint may be to use the Infantry Assault order and use two units to charge a single defender. We honestly weren't sure ...
