Don't get me wrong. I like snipers... in fact my force has 2 integrated. But I think they're underpowered or overpriced.

I was doing the maths on snipers last night. Hit 2/3 of the time regardless of opponent quality and ignore cover so do something (doubled shock or kill) 2/3 of the time. So net result from one shot is 4/9ths of a point of shock and 2/9th of a kill (2/27ths of an officer kill). Compare this to a 5cm ...

Couple of general observations. The "sniper" designation in CoC is a bit of a misnomer, it would be more accurate to describe him as a "marksman", possibly armed with a scoped rifle, but essentially one of the better shots available. True snipers would be unlikely to stick around whilst 2 platoons ...

On a related casualty note, should fielding a medical orderly have any effect on your casualty recovery rates in campaign time, as they're more likely to have been patched and evacuated in a more timely fashion? It doesn't have any effect to use a medic in game. The fact that the winner can recover...
