Re: Skirmish Bases for Large Battalions

Hi Scott, just my 2 cents.... The rules state : If half or more battalions in the brigade are Recruits or Small battalions, subtract one Skirmish base. Then it can be reasonable to allow the following house rule : If half or more battalions in the brigade are Elite or Large battalions, add one extra...

fall back to behind a supporting Close Order Unit

Hello,
just a couple of Questions about this matter :

1)Is it intended that physically the retiring/retreating unit is placed behind a friendly unit or it's enough to retiring to behind own lines ?

2)can the supporting friendly unit be UNFORMED ?

Thanks

charging skirmishers and formed unit behind

hello, i have a doubt about this case : a column wants to charge a line screened by skirmishers then the column declares charge at skirmishers that fire and evade inflicting 1 kia. Now the column continues to charge the line and receives other 2 kias (defender fire). Have I add 1 + 2 = 3 casualties ...

Artillery in ''Rallied'' Brigade

hello,
a faltering brigade gets ''RALLY'' result and then :
Brigade units within 15cm [9"]
of formed enemy Close Order units must immediately Step Back.
In case of unlimbered foot artillery what kind of movement is applied ?

thanks

Re: Is Infantry assault lost if brigade is Hesitant

Hi John de terre nueve,
your case is different : the order is already implemented and if the turn after the brigade Hesitates the order is not removed.

Re: Is Infantry assault lost if brigade is Hesitant

In my opinion the order is not implemented and it's necessary to ''pay'' again 2 ADC on next turn.

Re: How do you measure the range?

Hi John,
yes, the best way is to measure from the centre front face of the firing unit to the nearest point on the target.
Approved !

Re: How do you do a charge with your skirmishers in front ?

Hi John,
in case of columns I agree to move the skirmishers to the side but this movement is not considered as involvement in the charge and then these skirmishers can move again normally in the movement phase...do you agree ?

Michele
