Movement Tray for SP Artillery Groups
You might have noticed Charlie Foxtrot Models' movement trays specifically designed for artillery groups in Sharp Practice. I have ordered and assembled one of the two designs and you can find pictures and a short write-up on http://minimaerk.blogspot.ch/ . (click on the label "english" to remove my...

New 1798 armée d'Helvétie (army of Switzerland)
I am glad to show you the core elements of my new french armée d'Helvétie which invaded Switzerland in early 1798. It consists of 3 groups of line infantry (right hand side of picture) and 3 groups of light infantry and one additional group of skirmishers (left hand side and foreground). Line and li...

my last Sharp Practice 1 AAR
a few days ago, I had two wargaming buddies at my place for their first game of Sharp Practice. I had set them a small Peninsular War Scenario with hidden objectives. The game was great fun and the hours just flew by. We took a few pictures and you can see them along with some comments here: https:/...

Re: Multiplayer Games in SP2?
I have been thinking of assigning one CinC per side who decides on overall strategy and may give orders to his subordinate(s) like 'take this hill' or 'block that road'. The sub-commander(s) then act with their big men on the table, deciding about the tasks of each big man, using formations etc. Has...

Re: French Engineers - which figures?
Front Rank has a wonderful 'Sappeur' mini (http://www.frontrank.com/wp-content/upl ... 7/2528.jpg), code is FN309. Sadly, they have only one of them.

Re: Basing and miniature sizes
From what Richard Clarke says in this recent interview https://meeples.wordpress.com/2016/03/15/meeples-miniatures-episode-167-royal-armouries-and-sharp-practice-2/ ,you can play Sharp Practice 2 in almost any scale. So it will definitely work with 1:72 figures. Since Sharp Practice is usually playe...

Re: two questions regarding cavalry
Thank you both for your valuable comments. The birdsview argument is striking (and there was no radio at that time). So I overstreched my cavalry group's charging ability in the last game. Your way to play a charge makes perfect sense.

Re: two questions regarding cavalry
So you would not allow a charge on a non-visible enemy? I can see your point, you can not charge a group you don't know it is there.
But if your cavalry squadron knows there is an enemy group beyond that hill or behind that wall?
