Designing an ACW Campaign

Myself and a friend are thinking about embarking on an ACW campaign using PC ruleset. He has suggested that we take the campaign system from Longstreet (we played the Longstreet Campaign about 3-4 years ago and quite enjoyed it), but having a look through I found it quite vanilla in nature and with ...

Re: Attack on the Bloody Lane scenario

I believe that the OB is supposed to be played exactly as laid out. Cornfield would be up to you and other player. If it is not harvested (September) it would block LOS, provide light cover and +/- rough terrain. If it is harvested, I would just consider it +/- Rough Terrain-up to you and other play...

Re: Few Questions

I have to agree with John, after all the rules allow unformed units to charge, albeit with a penalty.

I have no problem visualising the following Rebel Yell: "If we can not stop those damned Yankees with our bullets, time to charge in boy's...."

Re: Skirmisher basing

I doubled the base width for my skirmishers for my 18mm army going from 25mm squares with 4 figures in double line to 50mmx20mm bases with 3 figures in single line. you can see them here. https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6CqZTcPtJ_c/XNbG-oFQAhI/AAAAAAAANak/JgVRTK4WB0s5NaQcsuV_4TI3qIF_bC6xwCK4BGAYYCw/s400/...

Re: Few Questions

Thanks John, I am unsure abut removing the FD as it does not appear to be directly prohibited but I agree the inference is that it is prohibited.

Few Questions

Had a great game of PC last night playing the scenario from the 2018 TFL Mag. Questions: A unit with Fire Discipline can charge.... correct? If a unit with Fire Displine charges, can it remove the FD marker in the movement phase (the rulebook says charging units can not move or reform in the same tu...

Re: Deadbeat Volley

Would not a large or standard unit in line use the standard volley line?

Or is it the above units (large or standard unit in line) with Fire Discipline or Inferior Muskets use the Deadbeat Voley line?

And then if they are in column or double line they half the Deadbeat Volley result?
