Re: Background reading recommendations for Infamy

If you want a novel series then I highly recommend the Eagles of the Empire series by Simon Scarrow. Lots of 'daring do' as part of the legions in period - think of it as a Roman Sharpe type series. Maybe not a true historical background book recommendation, but I think will fit perfectly with the I...

Re: Infamy with WRG/DBA style bases

As I thought. Thanks.

Should look good on the table and be a true large skirmish look to the game. :)

Infamy with WRG/DBA style bases

I'm hoping to play Infamy with my 15mm (large) DBx style army bases - with 1 multi-fig base for 1 figure. I have a load of general/other bases on round or square 40mm items which will work for commanders, villages, special characters etc. The only issue with this will be the basing will not be squar...

Re: Visibility in woods

Bit late to the conversation, but also if you are doing North American (or old/wild European) woodland/forest, I would not have a single huge area's of woods on the table. Having spent some time in the wilder area's here in Ontario, UK woods/lands are not at all like true wild unmanaged area's of tr...

Re: A question of armour

I'm no expert but I suspect it's a combination of things vs to make the system and levels of troops work vs. anything specific like you are asking.

Re: 15mm Mini recommendations?

Thanks, one of my issues with Dux B is the 'sparse' look of figures in games in 28mm. I know people like the 28mm models (as I do as well - I have a good collection of them), but games can often be far too close to a few small groups of 6 men 'not talking a flag for a walk' for my visual liking. ;) ...

Re: Flight stand assistance

I bough them direct mail order from their pick a brick site.

These are round 1x1 bricks and 1x1 round plates (for the base attachments). I found craft magnates which fit perfectly in the top which was a bonus.and glues them in :)

Re: Flight stand assistance

Just use Lego :) I know it sounds weird but I started buying all sort of expensive stands for air games and in the end now use lego for the 1/600 miniatures. Works a treat and is simple and easy. Its also cheap and easy to get more, as you need them. You can paint the bases and number that as you wi...

Re: Levy Monks

From my brief reading I have not seen anything that shows that the monks/priests of the period creating a true martial order or force to really defend themselves. However, I believe there there is some small evidence of some religious locations being defended/fortified against raiders - by putting u...
