Re: Artillery casualties.

I know some players my be of a different opinion, but I don't think it's quite proper to let the Officer continue to operate a gun after his crew has been wiped out. I think that it would be reasonable to assume that in such a situation, the Officer would skedaddle.

Re: Skirmishers in Formation

I think Captain Reid's 1st comment is crucial. The Formation capability of Skirmisher Units is meant to to allow them to move in conjunction with a Formation and provide screening from fire. I don't believe it's meant to allow forming Formations with other Skirmisher Units. That said, a Level III Le...

Re: Doubts of basic rules

While not really an Activation a Unit that has the Sharp Practice Characteristic can do a single Firing Action (ether Fire or Reload ) by using two Command Cards(if available). This is regardless of whether the unit has activated already or not. So while not technically being an Activation, the effe...

Re: American war of independence questions.

The Queens Rangers were very good troops. Might be better to classify them as British Light Infantry Skirmishers. If so they work to be 12 points if they have Rifles. If you want to use them under the Loyalist Ranger Skirmishers stats, they come out to a 10 if they have Rifles. Either way they shoul...

Re: Fisticuffs Anomaly

I would play it as an heroic win by the Americans who died so that their leader would survive. The last Indian and his Leader would have to slink away in shame. Both sides would have some Bad Things happen checks to perform, "group wiped out" by the frontiersmen and Group obliged to withdraw for the...

Re: Skirmishers Formation

We've used this characteristic more often where a skirmish Group is attached to a Formation and moves with it always staying about 4 inches in front of the Formation to screen it. The Skirmish Group moves with the Formation when it is activated. If the Skirmish Group does something different than th...

Re: NWF lists for SP2?

I started a Mod on Tabletop Simulator for NWFrontier. I found some usable unit characteristics here: http://rabbitsinmybasement.blogspot.com/2016/06/north-west-frontier-troop-lists-for.html I was wondering however, about the points value. The Sharpulator doesn't cover breech loading rifles, but look...
