Re: Calculating support options

Hi, Don't worry, it's a common question. The usual rule, unless specifically overridden by a scenario, is for the attacker to roll whatever dice are specified for support points, the defender to get half that, and finally the total for the side with the lowest force rating to get the difference adde...

Re: Range bands for LMG teams

Hi yourself! :) Still enjoying IABSM? I wouldn't worry too much about independent LMG teams, in my experience they are a very rare beast, but giving them different range bands to section LMGs then opens the door to questions about *why* the same weapon with a smaller support team (the section carrie...

Re: Acronym question.

Hi,

It's an average D6. If you've not come across this before, it's a D6 with no 1 or 6, but an extra 3 and 4. You can of course just roll an ordinary D6 and take 1 as 3 and 6 as 4 rather than go to the trouble of buying one.

Hope that helps.

Cheers,
Jim

No, LMG teams fire as infantry, not MMGs.

Re: Unit Characteristics from Christmas Special 2017

Interestingly, the write-up of two games of this scenario mentions the Sisters of Liberty using blunderbuses in one game, to break into the mansion. They aren't mentioned in the unit characteristics, so I wonder if that has anything to do with it?

Re: Turrets and fire arc...

Hi siggian,

I'm actually going to do the same, I think. I was just curious as to how Dave would handle it.

In fact there are these handy markers I have from another game called Chain of Command which say 'overwatch' on one side and I reckon they would be perfect for the job...

Cheers,
Jim
