Re: The Compendium - rules clarifications - request for comment.

Huge thanks to Derek Hodge for the initial compilation of these from Lardy Rich's answers on the various TFL discussion areas. Notes in blue are where I...

Re: Reading suggestions?

Read it, but once you’ve read it read the Guy Halsall book. He demolishes Morris’ arguments rather impressively (and with better citations and evidence than Morris has for his own work)

Re: The Dux Britanniarum Compendium

Hopefully in the final stretch. I have one more playtest scheduled for a week tomorrow, and this week off in which I am aiming to finish the text, barring the index.

Re: Reading suggestions?

There will be a bibliography in the Compendium of both fact and fiction: I will stick the work in progress list of titles in here next time I have the file open. Note that it isn’t by any means complete at this point.

Re: Movement Question

Belated response:

I tend to allow the same - if it's obvious that a group or non-Shieldwall formation can track some *smoothly* curving terrain feature like a road or the edge of a wood, I'll tend to allow it as an umpire. It isn't what the rules say, though :D
