Re: regroup, deploy on combat patrol after patrol move

As far as I am aware, as long as the combat patrol was not deployed in the same turn, or is within 8" of the enemy, then you can deploy into it , whether in your own phase of regroup and the patrol maker moving is irrelevant as it's not the market deploying but a new/different unit as explained...

Re: react fire

I would say the 2nd unit could react fire after the first is hit, it's after the end of the firers move/fire action.. Opportunity fire is only possible vs moving targets, while they move, so unless the firer moved before firing opportunity firer is not possible. Either way only one could react. The ...

Re: Sangars: cover or dug out?

I would treat them like gun pits.

They have been built with protection in mind, so gain for camouflage, and provide protection both from small arms and artillery so no enforced retreat/shock. But not as good as a narrow trench or dugout with overhead protection.

Re: Voluntarily removing combat patrols

Not sure you mean by "locked in"?

They can't go closer than 8" to enemy, but can always fall back (top page p22)

the way it's worded means they can always move back towards the friendly base even if less than 8" from enemy so they are not " locked".

Re: Tank Company Commanders and Combat Patrols

Hello, I would say no. The armoured equivalent are recce units, be they armoured or jeep types. These are the eyes and ears of an armoured assault in the absence of infantry! They allow you to scout out ambushes, deal with enemy patrols and can be swapped for.patrols to facilitate insertion of AT as...

Re: More Engineer Squad Questions

Can Senior leaders influence engineers? Ie do they come from another formation/regt or are they in house. My first thought was NO as they are different formations, unless the infantry has a Capt incharge. As per page 18. But I suspect if you don't allow it, I suspect they are very difficult to use, ...

Re: Rule of thumb for number of artillery missions

I normally play with German troops, and I rarely use any of all of the artillery missions. It's either my dicing or they are just too difficult to get hold of, but morters are far more reliable/useful. The 120mm option for late war is a good send! The allied availability makes them more useful/used....

Re: afv/tanks

As far as I am aware a tank "base/section" is 1-3 vehicles, so if You are playing with 5mm models a base could have more than 1 tank just like infantry sections have more than one model. That then leaves scope for a single model on a base to represent a damaged section, and 2 sections make...

Re: Gallic leader 3 rallying shock on other groups

As far as I am aware, only Supernumary leaders are permanently attached to units. Other leaders with command values are free agents, and can leave and join other units as circumstances demand, but if two are either the same unit/formation the one with the lower command value can only assist with rem...
