This does seem logical now though I note that two standard regiments side by side, each in double line will inflict fewer casualties on average than a single standard regiment in a single line, unless the single regiment is also on the deadbeat line for some other reason (e.g. FD or inferior muskets...

That does seem to be a change as currently the QRS has "Halve all casualties if firer is in Column..." and deadbeat volley is listed as applying to "All Small regiments, or in Double Line/Column..." The FAQ then has " Column or Double Line Deadbeat Volley: All Regiments in Column and all Small or St...

I read it that a large regiment in double line would be on the deadbeat line unadjusted; a large regiment in column would be on the deadbeat line and then halved. It would still get +2CDs (optionally only one at long range) added to the table result, (before the halving if in column). Is this the in...
