Re: Sharp Practice Deployment Point Competition launched

I posted them on my blog if anyone care to look :) http://waristheh-word.blogspot.com/2016/06/sharp-practice-v2-deployment-point.html I am yet to thought up something interesting fo...

Re: Basing for 15mm COC
Mine are all on small coins. As previously said, NCOs and Officers on respectively larger ones. I tried to base weapon teams on one base. But basing them separate is more useful(just impractical with most of the lying pairs - and MG42 in all time sculptor favorite back-based) Its more practical but ...

Re: Large games
As I said i used 2 platoons on 180 m. But they were Russians
It would probably work a little worse for Western allies. I will post some photos - how it looked like in 15 mm when i will find them

Re: Large games
I run 4 player game. Standard 2 platoons per side. U used exact same mechanics for turn end and events. Only one player dice were used to determine turn but each player had his own phase count. So turn sequence was possibly like that player A1 and A2 Playet B1 and B2 Player B2 Player A1 and A2 Playe...

Re: Panzergrenadier force level
But clearly those 3 extra LMGs should be worth more than 1 point. That sums my thoughts about it. I generally find CoC to be miraculously well balanced but two things: One is lack of soviet senior officer command option, second discussed PzGrenadier platoon strength I will live with it but when i s...

Re: Figure packs
As a side note i will say that Flames of War Open Fire set is 2 platoon ready for gaming* set (and you have bunch of spare tanks (and some rulebook for some other game that don't interest me a bit but with nice pictures inside) :) * Paras are short of 1 or 2 rifleman unfortunately for 2 squad option

Re: Strategy and tactics
From my small (4 games) experience I have to admit Ive never had a chance to withdraw any squad to the safety.. Pressure is always to high, even in a two platoon game. Said that I think its much better to have Senior leader in range and able to activate squads in combat than to sit back and do nothi...
