Re: 6mm Velikiye Luki relief IABSM game--Now with Command Cards

That's a nice looking game. I've been looked at doing at 6mm WW2 a few times but I just have no idea where to start. I have a fair bit invested in 20mm and I'm not sure if it's worth a change of direction.

Re: AAR - Russian Front 1943

Agree entirely regarding the visual appeal of ground debris. A scattering of ground shrubs (aka lichen) and some fallen logs and branches (aka twigs) magically turns a manicured parkland into a naturalistic forest. If you make your own trees, I reckon it's also worth taking the time to construct a ...

Add the 125th Ligne. They'll add some colour and variation.

Re: AAR - Russian Front 1943

AAR - Russian Front 1943

After yet another lockdown my opponent and I got to get the figures back on the table for another game of O Group. Once again this battle was set on the Russian Front with the Soviets again in an aggressive mood. The full AAR is on my blog at: https://this20mmworldatwar.blogspot.com/2021/06/back-to-...

Re: Ambush deployment

Why would you want to deploy as if on a CP? There are advantages to deploying as an ambush unit: no interdiction, no deduction for movement if you want to shoot. The unit can also stay hidden right up to the point that the enemy get into very close range.

Re: GDA2

DB Thanks for clarifying. My confusion came from a recent re-reading the rules where it states that the squadron is the basic cavalry unit. I've always played cav as a regiment ) or half regt) with GdA and other rules. So, thinking " should I be using squadrons instead of regiments " confused me. Es...
